My Short Bio

I got my start in art at an early age. I have also been fortunate enough to learn under some great artists such as Brian Jekel, Bob Kling and Marilyn Marsh to name a few. Currently, I live in Des Moines, Iowa where I make my living as a professional artist, which encompasses a large spectrum not limited to freelance graphic design and illustration, website design and even fine art painting. How I Approach an Illustration or Design

Lets just chat for a bit. I love to hear all about your business or product. This gives me great insight into your customers and your expectations for the final outcome. So, you're able to let me know your needs and I'm able to gain a valuable knowledge base centered around your needs.

Ideas, ideas and more ideas. This is the stage where anything goes. I will work with you or by myself (which ever you prefer) to draw out every possible idea. Then from those ideas a series of sketches will be developed to serve as a map for the rest of the project.

The final product is developed during this stage. This is where I go back to my studio and form your individual product based upon the previous 2 steps.

My Philosophy

Sometimes simple is just better. Whether I'm creating an illustration or developing a flash interface, simplicity reigns supreme. My goal is to get your message across in the most effective way possible. I do that by eliminating all the uneccesaries which leaves the spotlight on what matters most.
